Kepi The Band on Myspace

Kepi Ghoulie is hardly a new artist to the music scene, but his latest CD, "Hanging Out" (Asian man Records), has a certain freshness to it. After years of recording and touring with the Groovie Ghoulies, Kepi is releasing his first full length electric solo record, and the results seem to be pleasing to many. His new band (affectionately called "Kepi the Band" or "KTB"), has recorded 14 new songs of great punk, rock, punk rock, pop punk... call it what you will, it's all just part of the world of music to Kepi.
And that world includes playing live and touring, which will bring Kepi and his band back to Europe this fall. They have already played the world famous Gilman Street in Berkeley, CA with punk legends the Avengers. They have already headlined the Punk Rock Social in Long Beach, CA at Alex's Bar, and by the he gets to Europe, Kepi will already have several electric and acoustic solo tours under his belt, including an Asian Man Records tour with the Queers, an appearance at the Insubordination Fest in Baltimore, a US tour with the Copyrights, and more, including his annual free outdoor park show in hometown of Sacramento, CA.
All recent live shows have been a smashing success, new tracks are already finding themselves at home on the airwaves (hear "Twelve Hour Town" and more on the "Kepi: The Band" MySpace), press and radio are already responding positively to "Hanging Out", and, more importantly, fan response has been amazing! Asian Man Records (Queers, Screeching Weasel, Kevin Seconds, Alkaline Trio) is proving to be a great home for Kepi, and 2008 looks to be another great year in the ongoing story of Mr. Kepi Ghoulie...Make sure you catch him this fall while he is "Hanging Out" in Europe!
